Duration: 2 hours Level: Some experience Group: Max 12 makers Price: $75

Glaze is where chemistry meets nerve. This evening session demystifies the bucket wall — twenty studio glazes, endless test tiles — and teaches you to finish pieces with confidence.

Bring two bisque-fired pieces (yours from an earlier course, or ours for a small fee) and work through dipping for even coverage, brushing for painterly layers, wax resist for crisp lines, and sgraffito for carved detail. We fire everything to cone 6 and email you at pickup.

What’s included

  • 2-hour guided glazing session with glaze chemistry basics
  • Access to 20+ studio glazes, underglazes and wax resists
  • Glaze firing for two pieces, ready in 2–3 weeks
  • A personal test-tile set to record your winning combinations

Four finishes you’ll master

01

Dipping

Fast, even coverage for bowls and mugs in one motion.

02

Brushing

Layered, painterly color with fan and detail brushes.

03

Wax resist

Crisp patterns and clean foot rings, revealed by fire.

04

“I finally understand what happens inside the kiln. My dipped-and-carved bowls look like they came from a gallery shelf.” — Elena M., glaze night regular
